T.A.I.N.T. Call
(Two spirit, Agender, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans)
to Wolf Creek Radical Faerie Sanctuary, July 10-16, 2025
set up July 8-9, clean up July 17-18
A call to all Two-spirit, Agender, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans people to gather on the land and celebrate life, love, lust and literally just existing. Come drink deep from the well of community!
Join us as we feast for our trans selves, our trans ancestors, and our trans descendants as we celebrate trans resistence on some beautiful summer days. We are gathering the magic we’ve cultivated over these long years and transforming it into the love, life and power we need for our trans futures.
We will be setting up on July 8th and 9th; and cleaning up on July 17th and 18th. Please stay late if you can to help us tend to the land, altars, ancestors and community spaces after the gathering. Note: July 8th and 9th, overlap with the cleanup days for SGRF, a primarily cis gathering. The first two days won’t be a part of the TAINT container.
Registration is open Tuesday, May 27th. Please register so we can plan for your presence, especially because our resources are limited for this smaller gathering.
Please address questions and comments about TAINT to TAINT.2025@proton.me.

We acknowledge that Wolf Creek, Grants Pass and most towns in Josephine County, like many towns and counties in Oregon, were “Sundown towns” that legally and culturally enforced the violent exclusion of Black people. Explicit exclusion lasted until the late 20th century and implicit exclusion of Black people continues to this day. We strive to dismantle anti-Black racism on every level.

What is TAINT?
TAINT stands for Two-Spirit, Agender, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans people. We are calling all people who identify with these words to come together and celebrate our lives, our love, our lust, our grief, our magic and our power. This is a gathering for gender diverse and gender non-conforming people, whatever language you use to describe your experience.
This gathering is closed to cis people.* We trust the self-identification of those registering to be TAINT identified. We're not the gender police. If you find yourself questioning whether or not you are TAINT-enough, you are enough and you belong here!
*We do welcome solidarity from cis folk in set up and clean up, fundraising, transportation, and donations of money, food, toilet paper, propane, and camping supplies.
Cis people can be explicitly invited in certain circumstances, but please coordinate with organizers first. If you are a person with access needs and your support person is cis they are welcome.
What this gathering expects of you:
The more support we have for running the gathering, the more capacity we will have for participants, so if you have energy or skills you want to bring, please let us know.
We ask attendees to contribute to the gathering through whatever means are available to you.
If you are able to, please donate financially to the gathering. $5 / $20 / $42 / a day, more if you can, less if you can’t. We are always NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds) but remember to GAYAABAGS (Give As You Are Able But Always Give Something) Financial contributions will support the gathering's basic needs, contribute to a BIPOC travel fund and help seed future TAINT gatherings. See the registration for other ways to support this gathering!
Be prepared to help with meals and cleanup.
Please bring food contributions and if you would like to top (coordinate) a meal, please let us know on the registration form.
Gatherings are a burden on the land’s water supply. We ask that everyone please bring 2 gallons of water per person, per day, to offset our impact.
Arrive prepared to camp out, unless you have made arrangements for accessible accommodations. If you need to make such arrangements, please email the organizers at TAINT.2025@proton.me and put “Access Needs” in the subject line.
Prepare for all kinds of weather.
The land is under threat of wildfires. Campfires will not allowed during the gathering, and smoking is limited to designated areas.
Service animals are welcome on leash. Please don’t bring personal pets.
Please use substances intentionally and mindfully. Do what’s right for your body while respecting the bodies around you. We ask you not to bring “white powder” drugs onto the Land. That said, many of us will have NARCAN on us and it will be available in the Barn, Garden House, and the Pump House

FAQs
Is this a safe space?
No.
While TAINT is a trans gathering the WCRFS community and the Radical Faerie movement in general is made up of majority white, majority cis men, faeries and queens. There is a very long history of racism, transphobia and misogyny that many in this community have been fighting for decades. Many battles have been won, still, this is a community in tension and struggle.
TAINT as a gathering aims to create the healthiest space possible but mistakes will be made along the way.
What we can do is work together as a community to make things right, heal, make amends, and grow.
There will be BIPOC-only space and those who wish to create other marginalized identity-specific spaces and dialogues will be supported in doing so.
We are police abolitionists. We don’t talk to cops and we don’t call the cops!
Is TAINT a sex gathering?
In part, yes. No one is expected to participate in any particular activity or anything they’re not comfortable with. Clothing is optional. You may see or hear sex happening, and you may be propositioned, but you are under no expectation to participate in anything you don’t want to.
If you do wish to participate always remember: Consent is fucking mandatory!

Covid-19 prevention:
Mask in public for at least 5 days before the event, test negative before traveling to the Land, and test negative again at the Welcome Tent when you arrive. Daily testing will be mandatory. Please bring enough tests for yourself and extra for others if you are able to. Informed consent means disclosing potential COVID symptoms to folks you will be in close contact with, even if you have not tested positive. The Garden House will be a mask-required space. We encourage folks to mask while on the land.
Medical supplies on the land:
Barn - first aid, Narcan, AED, Covid tests, masks, safer sex supplies
Garden House - first aid, Narcan, AED, Covid tests, masks
Pump House (small shack in the parking lot) - AED
Welcome Tent - first aid, Narcan, Covid tests, masks
Terrain and Amenities:
There are a very limited number of cabins with 3-4 single beds available. There is access to electricity, and one cabin is ramp accessible. The cabins are all within 200-300ft of a compost toilet and sink. Please contact us ASAP if you have an access need that would be met by sleeping in one of the cabins.
The sanctuary has unpaved dirt roads and grass paths which can be uneven in places. Three of the buildings have ground level entrances or ramps including Cedar cabin, Garden House, and the Barn (steep ramp) where meals happen. Floors in the latter two are uneven in places and have some holes.
There is an indoor shower, hot water, and mirror available for hygiene needs as well as an outdoor solar-heated shower. There are two outhouses near the Barn, Garden House and the cabins, as well as one in the parking lot. There is a flushing toilet further up the hill from the Barn. All outhouses/toilets have at least one step up to access them.
Indoor space is limited, especially for meeting spots, and comfy furniture is scarce. The Love Lounge has a couple mattresses for lounging and playing. Buildings and hang out spots are spread out, and can be rough for some folks with chronic pain and mobility needs to get to.
We can ensure chairs are available at activities upon request, though feel free to bring your own.
We can do meal delivery if that is an access need. We may be able to coordinate a shuttle to give rides between spots.
There is some internet, but it is low quality and intermittent. Please only use it if it meets an access need for you.
There are cats and a dog on the land. Sometimes they go in buildings.
If you need to make arrangements or have any questions please email the organizers at TAINT.2025@proton.me and put “Acces Needs” in the subject line.
Food Allergies:
Please list your dietary needs and allergies on your registration form. Please note the severity of your allergies. Depending on the severity of your allergy or dietary need you should plan to bring your own food as we cannot 100% guarantee that we will be serving food that meets your needs. We will do out best to prevent cross-contamination, but it is a chaos kitchen. You will have access to a shared fridge and shared cooking facilities.
For kitchen related questions please contact TAINT.2025@proton.me and put “Kitchen” in the subject line.
